Open Monday through Saturday form 8 am to 4 pm; archives and family history center open from Tuesday through Saturday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Houses the Finnish-American historical archives, a museum, a theater, an art gallery & the Family History Center.

MCLAIN STATE PARK SUMMER EVENING PROGRAMS:
M-203 between Hancock & Calumet. 482-0278. Evening programs with a variety of area speakers. June - Aug. Call for times and topics.

QUINCY STEAM HOIST, SHAFTHOUSE, TRAM RIDE & UNDERGROUND MINE TOURS:
49750 US-41, Quincy Hill. 482-3101. Open May 1 through October 30. Summer hours: 8:30 am to 7 pm. Monday through Saturday; 12:30 pm to 7 pm on Sunday. Shorter Spring & fall hours. Featuring the world's largest steam hoist, #2 shafthouse, scenic cog-rail tram ride & underground mine tour (fun, history!)

WALKING TOUR OF HISTORICAL DOWNTOWN HANCOCK:
Self guided tour through the historic downtown area with accompanying map. Brochure available at the Keweenaw Peninsula Chamber of Commerce office and the Hancock City Hall.
